Access to the Quran
A course for adults who wish to take their first steps towards reading the Arabic script of the Quran. Students will learn the Arabic alphabet with correct pronunciation, and will learn to recognise letters and vowels to read the Quran through repeated in-class practice.
This course is suitable for complete beginners and those requiring further revision of tilawah (Quranic recitation) fundamentals.
- Recognition of Arabic letters and their different forms
- Correct pronunciation of Arabic letters
- Understanding the different vowels and diacritical marks in the Quran that affect how Arabic letters are pronounced
- Ability to connect letters in order to read words
