Mount Toubkal Challenge

Embark on a 3-day adventure to the summit of Morocco’s Mount Toubkal (4,167m) —the highest peak in North Africa— or alternatively stop at the base camp for those wanting an easier climb — while fundraising for the mosque. Starting from the Berber village of Imlil, this guided trek takes you through the dramatic landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, past ancient villages and breathtaking alpine views.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Marrakech Imlil Toubkal Refuge (3200m)
    Depart Marrakech after breakfast and drive to Imlil (1740m), where you’ll meet your guide and trekking team. Begin your ascent through charming Berber villages and stop for lunch at 2500m. Continue trekking to the Toubkal Refuge (3200m) for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Toubkal Refuge Toubkal Summit Toubkal Refuge (4167m)
    Start early for the summit climb. The route follows the south cirque, with steady terrain and some challenging scree and altitude near the top. From the summit, enjoy sweeping views over the Atlas Mountains, Marrakesh Plain, and the Sahara Desert. Descend to the refuge for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 3: Toubkal Refuge Imlil Marrakech
    After breakfast, descend via Chamharouch and return to Imlil, passing through scenic valleys and villages. Your driver will transfer you back to Marrakech, marking the end of your Toubkal adventure.

  • Included: Accommodation, Flights, Transfers & Breakfast

  • Not included: Equipment (this can be rented for a very small cost locally at Imlil)

  • Registration fee: £425 per person

  • Fundraising Target: Each participant is encouraged to raise £500 in support of the masjid.

  • Participants: Open to males aged 18 and over
